SYSTEM OUTAGE ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2010: All satellite data used in this CoastWatch Program come from the NOAA downlink station at Wallops Island, VA. Due to the threat posed by Hurricane Earl, the Wallops Command and Data Acquisition Station will be shut down for most of Friday, September 3, 2010 and our CoastWatch site will not produce any new lake temperature maps on 9/3/10. Assuming the hurricane threat passes, the Wallops facility and our CoastWatch Program should return to service on Saturday, September 4, 2010.
